Barnel
About Barnel
A Portland, Oregon manufacturer of professional cutting tools, serving more than 70 countries since 1985.
Barnel International designs, engineers and manufactures hand cutting tools for agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, forestry and landscape professionals, as well as serious garden enthusiasts. The company was founded in Portland, Oregon in 1985 and now supplies more than 70 countries.
What we make
The range covers 195 models across 24 product lines: hand pruners and secateurs, loppers, hedge shears, pull-stroke saws, pole and telescoping reach tools, harvest and grafting knives, machetes, and the sheaths, sharpeners and care products that keep them working.
How we build
Blade stock is drawn from US and Japanese steels and heat treated to suit the cut each tool is rated for. Bodies are either drop forged for capacity or pressure injected die cast where weight matters more than mass. Every tool carries a stated cutting diameter, and the range is organised around that number.
Spare parts
A full spare parts programme covers most tools — blades, springs, grips, bumpers and pivot hardware — so a tool is repaired rather than replaced. Parts are ordered separately at parts.barnel.com.
How to buy
Barnel sells through distributors and importers rather than direct. Build an inquiry list from any product page and the order desk will reply with pricing, lead time and your nearest importer.
